10 Best Places to Visit in 2021

With travel restrictions starting to ease around the world, more and more people are planning trips for both business and pleasure. To help with your travel planning needs, we’ve put together a list of the 10 best places to visit in 2021, both domestic and international. Keep in mind that certain destinations might have requirements in place for travel.

Top 5 Domestic Locations

#1 – New York City

New York was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the city has worked to make changes and come back better than ever. If you need to travel here for business, there is still plenty for you to do and see while you work. You can even rent hotel rooms that have been transformed into makeshift offices, and enjoy dining al fresco at many newly added curbside restaurants.

#2 – Los Angeles

LA is always a bustling city and popular for business travel. Though you might have been here dozens of times, don’t think you’ve seen it all. There are several new restaurants, hotels, and museums opening this year in the city. So, if your travel plans bring you to LA, make sure you take some time to enjoy the new sites or even relax by the ocean.

#3 – Hawaii

Who doesn’t want to take a trip to Hawaii? If business travel brings you here, there is plenty you can do in your downtime, no matter which of the islands you are visiting. New resorts and restaurants are popping up all over, so there are lots of new flavors and experiences to be had.

#4 – Alaska

Alaska might not be everyone’s ideal destination, but if work brings you here and you don’t mind a little cold weather, then there is plenty to do during your off time. There are tons of national parks to explore or you can visit one of the coastal cities where the cruise ships dock for more touristy attractions. Don’t forget to bring your sleeping mask if you visit in the summer, as they get more sunlight hours than the lower 49 states!

#5 – Montana

If business brings you to the Northwest, then you aren’t going to want to miss Montana. There’s so much to see and do, from skiing and hiking to spas and resorts if the outdoors aren’t your thing. Montana has something for everyone to enjoy.

Top 5 International Destinations

#1 – The Bahamas

The beautiful, sunny, and warm islands of the Bahamas are open and welcoming travelers from the United States. If you plan to travel here for business, you will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test but you will not have to be quarantined. Business here would be a great excuse to get away for a few days to relax on the beach.

#2 – Germany

Another country with amazing sites and even more amazing food that is now welcoming business travel from the United States is Germany. If you are fully vaccinated, you are welcome to visit and explore during your downtime from meetings.

#3 – Canada

The Canadian borders just opened recently and they are now welcoming fully vaccinated U.S. travelers. No matter where business takes you in Canada, there is plenty to do and see. If you visit Vancouver, there is skiing at Whistler, or if business takes you to Toronto, there is always Niagara Falls.

#4 – France

There is always something new to see when you visit France, so if you must travel here for business, you should definitely set aside some time for exploration, not to mention visiting the amazing restaurants and cafes. If you aren’t fully vaccinated, you will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test before entering the country.

#5 – Mexico

There are several beautiful places to visit in Mexico, and no travel restrictions are currently in place as long as you are flying into the country, though travel by car is currently closed. During your downtime, no matter which area you are traveling to, there are dozens of museums to visit and sites to see. If you are along the coasts, make sure to stop by a beach to catch the warm sun and cool water.

These are just a few of the places you can visit while you are traveling for business purposes. Of course, if you must travel, check the travel requirements for the country or state you are visiting because they are updated frequently. Also, make sure to follow proper safety precautions.
